What Vibe Prospecting Is (And What It Is For)

Vibe Prospecting is a business data connector for Claude. Once it is connected, Claude can look up companies and the professionals who work at them, and pull verified work contact details.

This is a B2B outreach tool. It is for finding the right person to email about a real business reason - a sales pitch, a partnership, a recruiting message, a genuine introduction.

Used correctly, it saves hours of manual research. Used poorly, it is just another way to spam people.

This guide is about the first one.

How it works

  • 800M+ professional profiles from public business databases
  • 150M+ companies searchable by industry, size, and location
  • Verified work emails with confidence scoring
  • $0 to start with free credits on signup

Vibe Prospecting gives you a free account with starter credits. That is enough to try it and run real lookups. If you scale up outreach, you move to a paid plan. It is free to start and credits-based after that.

Step 1: Connect Vibe Prospecting to Claude

One-time setup. Takes about a minute.

Open your connectors

In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors. Click Browse connectors.

Find Vibe Prospecting

Search for Vibe Prospecting. It is listed under Anthropic's verified connectors. If it is listed under a partner section, look for the verified badge.

Click it. Click Add or Install.

Sign in and grant access

Follow the sign-in prompt to create your free Vibe Prospecting account and approve access. Once it is connected, Claude can query the database whenever you ask.

You only do this once.

If it does not connect

  • You cannot find it in the list. Search the exact name "Vibe Prospecting" and look under the Anthropic Partners section of Browse connectors.
  • It says your plan does not support it. Connectors require Claude Pro ($20/month) or higher.
  • It did not ask you to sign in. Close the connector and hit Connect again. That triggers the account sign-up and access approval.

Tip: Mention the connector in your prompt ("using Vibe Prospecting") so Claude reaches for it instead of guessing from its own data. That is what pulls the verified data.

Step 2: Find a Contact

The core move. Tell Claude the role and the company, and it returns the person, their title, and their verified work email.

Prompt
Find me the [title, e.g. Head of Marketing] at [Company] and their verified work email, using Vibe Prospecting. Give me their full name, title, LinkedIn, and the email.

Claude will return something like:

  • Name: Sarah Chen
  • Title: VP of Marketing
  • Company: Acme Corp
  • Email: sarah.chen@acmecorp.com (verified)
  • LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/sarahchen

If the exact title does not match, Claude will find the closest equivalent and tell you why it selected that person.

Step 3: Build a Whole List

This is where it gets powerful. Instead of finding one person, build a targeted list of everyone worth reaching.

Prompt
Using Vibe Prospecting, build me a list of every [title, e.g. Head of Growth] at [company type, e.g. B2B SaaS companies] in [location, e.g. North America] with verified email. Include full name, title, company, LinkedIn, and verified work email. Export it to CSV.

Claude will build the list, verify the emails, and format it for export.

Filtering tips

  • By title: "Head of Marketing", "VP of Sales", "Owner", "Founder"
  • By company size: "companies with 10-50 employees", "companies under 100 people"
  • By industry: "SaaS companies", "law firms", "HVAC contractors in Texas"
  • By location: city, state, region, or country
  • By funding: "companies that just raised Series A"

The more specific your filters, the better your list quality.

Step 4: Time It with Buying Signals

Finding contacts is easy. Finding contacts who are actually ready to hear from you is the real skill.

Prompt
Using Vibe Prospecting, find 5 companies that just raised a Series A / B / companies that are actively hiring for X / companies that just launched Y, and tell me exactly who to contact at each one and why now.

Buying signals that matter:

  • Just raised funding - they have budget and are scaling
  • Hiring for a specific role - they have a gap you might fill
  • Launched a new product - they need marketing, sales, or operational support
  • Leadership change - new leaders bring new vendors
  • Expansion - new office, new market, new needs

Timing your outreach to a real event makes your message relevant instead of random.

Step 5: Draft the Outreach

Prompt
For each contact on that list, write a short, personalized cold email (under 100 words) that references something specific about them or their company and makes one clear ask.

What makes cold email work:

  • It is short. Under 100 words. Respect their time.
  • It is specific. Mention something real about their company or role.
  • It makes one ask. A meeting, a reply, a referral - pick one.
  • It sounds human. No templates that read like templates.
  • It provides value first. Lead with what you can do for them, not what you want from them.

Example structure

Prompt
Subject: [Something specific to them]

Hi [First name],

I noticed [specific observation about their company, role, or recent event].

[One sentence about what you do and why it is relevant to them].

[One clear ask - usually a question or a short meeting request].

[Your name]

What NOT to do

  • Do not send the same email to 500 people
  • Do not open with "I hope this email finds you well"
  • Do not write a paragraph about your company before mentioning them
  • Do not attach PDFs or include multiple links
  • Do not follow up 5 times in a week

Use It the Right Way

This is a powerful tool, so use it like a professional, not a spammer. A few rules keep your outreach effective and keep you out of trouble.

Have a real reason

Only reach out when you genuinely have something relevant for that person or their company. "I found your email" is not a reason. A real offer, a genuine question, or a relevant introduction is.

Follow the rules for cold outreach

Business email outreach is legal, but there are rules.

  • In the US, CAN-SPAM requires accurate sender info and an easy way to opt out.
  • In the EU/UK, GDPR expects a lawful basis and an easy unsubscribe. For B2B contacts in the EU/UK, GDPR expects a "lawful basis" and an easy way to opt out.
  • In Canada, CASL is stricter. Keep it honest, and always give people a way to say "no."

Honor every opt-out instantly

If someone asks to be removed or says not interested, you are done. Remove them and do not contact them again. It is the law in most places and it is just decency.

Heads up: Never use this to find personal information

Never use this to find someone's personal home address, personal phone, or to contact anyone for harassment, or anything that is not legitimate professional business. That is not what this is for, and it is the fast track to legal trouble and a wrecked reputation.

Bonus: Get Yourself Out of the Databases

If Claude can find other people, it can find you. Here is how to see where you are listed and get removed, worth doing whether or not you use the tool yourself.

Prompt
If any of my information is in these business databases, find where I am listed and give me the exact steps to opt out and get removed. My details: [name, company, work email].

Claude will point you to the data provider's opt-out process. Most business data companies are legally required to honor removal requests, especially under GDPR and CCPA, so it usually just takes a form.

If you also want your personal info (home address, phone) off the people-search sites, that is a separate, bigger cleanup. Ask Claude to "build me a full personal privacy removal plan" and it will walk you through the data brokers and Google's removal tools too.

The One-Page Cheat Sheet

The whole thing, in order. Screenshot this.

  1. Connect. Claude > Customize, Connectors, Browse, find Vibe Prospecting, add, sign in.
  2. Find a contact. "Find me the [role] at [company] and their verified email, using Vibe Prospecting."
  3. Build a list. "Build a list of [role] at [industry] in [place], export to CSV."
  4. Time it. "Find companies that just [event] and who to contact."
  5. Draft outreach. "Write a short, personalized email for each."
  6. Protect yourself. "Where am I listed, and how do I opt out?"

The rules that keep it working

  • Say "using Vibe Prospecting" so Claude pulls verified data.
  • Be specific about the role you need.
  • Only reach out with a real reason.
  • Follow CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL.
  • Honor every opt-out instantly.
  • Personalize. Do not blast. That is what actually gets replies.

Your Action Plan

  1. Connect Vibe Prospecting (free account).
  2. Find one real decision-maker you genuinely want to reach.
  3. Have Claude draft a personalized, specific email.
  4. Send it like a human.
  5. Opt yourself out of the databases while you are at it.

The right person is one prompt away. Reach out like you mean it.
